Author, Kim Nelson, has developed a strong author program that will support any school program. With a strong emphasis on diversity, trust, confidence, happiness, respect, acceptance, courage, friendship, perseverance, and freedom, Kim Nelson brings to life her stories. This is more than reading stories, using her books, Raff's Magic Touch, Raff and the Magical Tour, and Snowmen, to fully support any character education program, she explains the importance of self- worth, fitting in, and being who you are. Within every child is a special magic and Kim brings that magic out of your children and students with every presentation.
Our program will stress the importance of developing good character traits, using the book characters as examples. Students need good role models to follow. The author has created characters that have or have had experiences much like the students themselves. We all need to learn and be reminded of those things that will make us better persons.
Kim Nelson will share with the students the many steps to writing, illustrating, and publishing a book. Students will realize how much work and effort goes into every book that is published and they will be encouraged to write, edit, and check their work.
Lastly, the author encourages the audiences to challenge themselves to always do their best, get a good education, that being a good student is the key to their future; and to never give up on their dreams. Life is hard; we have to work hard to achieve our goals in everything we do. (School, home, sports, arts. etc.)
